Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can you tell me more about the tour guides?
A lot of Filipinos know how to speak English fluently and our tour guides are no exception.

Are there additional costs for any of the tours?
When you choose Ape Tours, you’ll be assured that there absolutely no hidden costs along the way.  Aside from the tour rates, we need to pay for the environmental fees. Other than that, we do stop at some places where there is sari-sari store (our local store), and mini bars. Should you wish to purchase food or alcoholic beverage, you may do so. Tipping is customary but not obligatory around El Nido.

Will I get seasick during the Trip?
In general most people do not get seasick in our trips. However if you suffer badly from motion sickness, it is advisable to take an anti-motion sickness pill an hour before the trip.

Are Pregnant women allowed to join the tours?
We are always after the safety and well being of our guests therefore we will require a medical clearance for pregnant women to join our tours.

If I have any health issues or concerns will I still be able to take the tour?
Please make sure that you have a medical clearance from your doctor and that you have all your medications with you.

If I can’ t swim, will I still be able to enjoy the tours?
For most tours, you get to stop  in an island to beach bum and explore the place on solid ground. For the more adventurous but weak swimmers, we have life vests on the boat that you can use for safety.

Are the tours suitable for children and young infants?
All our trips are suitable for children ages 3 to 10 years old. But we do not recommend bringing younger kids as it can be a long hot day for them. Aside from that, we do not have a place to keep prams or strollers in the boat.
